Golf Forehands and Holds – Improve Your Golf Swing

A golf fore swing is a pretty simple move in principle, as it simplifies the golf swing and allows one to hit the ball further. But it’s a little surprising how many people don’t know what to do with it. As an amateur golfer, you probably wouldn’t have thought of it, but the answer is pretty straightforward. You’ve got two hands, so use them. If you can do this then you’ll be well on your way to becoming a great golfer.

To get the grip for the best possible shot, you’re going to need to take your left hand off of the club. Place your right hand on top of the left hand, over the knuckles of the left hand. If you’re playing a new game (and a new club, that is) then you should grip the club with your non-dominant hand, or grip it loosely. This allows you to keep some of the weight on the non-dominant hand, which will lead to more control. It also keeps you more relaxed and less likely to slip up with a bad shot.

Next you’re going to want to wrap your right hand around the golf club and make a fist of it. Then place the left hand on top of your right one, making sure the club is held by the thumb and not the link. Make sure that you’re holding it straight up, down and to the side. Keep in mind that you’re trying to keep the club as close to your body as possible at all times. Don’t ever let it fall on the ground. If it does you’ll find yourself in serious trouble.

Now we’re going to take a look at the backswing, which is the phase of the golf swing where you start the movement from the front. Remember that this part of the swing needs to happen in a smooth flowing motion, so try to stay relaxed. The idea is to make your swing smooth and fluid so it looks like a natural motion. You don’t want to tense up or you’ll have a difficult time getting the club head over your body, which will affect your accuracy.

Lastly you’ll want to focus on maintaining your balance as you swing. Your posture will be important, as will keeping your wrists cocking naturally. A great tip for improving your golf swing is to simply swing the golf club as if you’re going to hit a golf ball. Try to imagine the golf club swinging smoothly and easily.

These are just some of the basics of the golf swing and a golf forehand. If you follow these tips correctly you’ll notice a big improvement in your golf game. There are plenty of resources available online that will help improve your game. Some of them are free, and other golfing magazines and websites offer tips and instruction. With the proper instruction you’ll soon be able to play golf like a pro, and you can start practicing your golf swing right away!
